ABOUT
4190 Design is a very small design shop based in College Station, Texas. Founded in 2008 by Coby Tate, it remains to this day as a one-man operation. In 2009 Coby promoted himself to lead designer and creative director, but decided against giving himself a raise. From here on out, Coby Tate will be referred to as "I."
From the beginning I have been focused on providing clients with design that avoids current trends that emphasize busy, contrived digital effects and instead strive to deliver the desired message as boldly and simply as possible. With this outlook on design that is based on the tried and true principles of grids, color theory, interesting use of white space and typography, I produce work with the intention of it being visually effective today, tomorrow and far into the future ... regardless of the latest wave of digital design trends.
